What is Camp JAM?

Camp JAM has its roots in worship. We have experienced the love of Jesus through worship - worship through music and through the arts. People from churches across Alabama came together because of a shared vision of children and youth developing and experiencing both passion and excellence in worship.

Our life in Christ is the greatest inspiration for music and for art, and we want to share that with your campers. We will have a children’s choir (completed grade 2-6) and a youth choir (completed grade 7-12), and learning and rehearsals with our clinicians will be important and fun parts of our days.

We will worship together, and there will be lots of fun camp activities including swimming, canoeing, and more! We will also offer classes in art, rhythm and percussion, handbells, drama, and other exciting areas. We will close camp Saturday afternoon in worship. We will invite family and friends to hear what the choirs have been working on.

June 10-13, 2026, at The Vision Retreat Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The cost per youth is $300.

Camp JAM Youth Leadership Team

We are looking for youth to serve as leaders at Camp JAM 2026. If you attended Camp JAM last year and completed grades 9-12, you are eligible to apply to serve. The Youth Leadership Team will lead and write devotions and help serve in different ways during camp. The Youth Leadership Team will need to arrive at The Vision in Huntsville Tuesday, June 9, to help prepare and set up for camp. They will work with the Chaplain and Worship Leader before camp by zoom, email, and in person if possible. The Youth Leadership Team will be chosen by a committee made up of members of the board and independent individuals. Members of the Youth Leadership Team will earn a $100 scholarship to Camp JAM.

Gayle Seeley Memorial Scholarship

Gayle Seeley believed that creativity was a gift meant to be shared. She found joy in the arts and expressed that joy through many forms—painting, crocheting, ceramics, and even sewing clothing by hand. Whether she was making something for her family, a friend, or simply creating for the beauty of it, Gayle used her talents to bring encouragement and happiness to others. Her hands were rarely still, and the things she created reflected both her generosity and her appreciation for the beauty that God places in the world.

Although Gayle’s life was cut short when she passed away suddenly in 2001, the spirit of creativity and generosity she lived by continues to inspire those who knew and loved her. This scholarship honors her memory by supporting young people who are discovering their own gifts through the arts. In the spirit of CAMP JAM—Jesus, Arts, and Music—it celebrates the idea that artistic expression can be a way to glorify God, encourage others, and share joy with the world, just as Gayle did throughout her life.
